A "little" Craziness

So, I know it has been a long time since there has been anything posted on here. There is good reason. Some of you may know this already, but for those of you who don't we are moving to Tulsa, OK in about a week and a half. So, needless to say, things have been a little crazy in our lives over the past month and a half or so. Richard got a new job which is what is taking us to Oklahoma. In the midst of all that we also made a trip to Missouri, had two early birthday parties for Elizabeth and have frantically been trying to see all our friends before we move away. Today we are flying out to Tulsa to go house hunting and hopefully we will be successful so that we can stop living in transition. I have been trying to get a post on here for the past couple of weeks and it just hasn't happened. So, here is a quick post with some new pictures. I will try to get a video on here in the next couple of weeks, no promises though.

Oh, I Love the Duckies

Royal Gorge

Dale and Marie were here and we made a trip to see the Royal Gorge. It was pretty amazing. Not for anyone with a fear of heights. I also don't think I would want to do the helicopter tour after seeing the crazing flying that happens. (It is not for those who get motion sickness!!!) Anyway, this is the view of the bridge from the cable car ride across the canyon.

We saw Beckham...from a ways off

We went to the MLS All Star game several weeks ago. Of course all the excitement was around David Beckham being there. (He is the blonde surrounded by all the people.) We didn't fight the masses to try and see him up close.

That is Johnny Spencer who used to play for the Rapids. He came over to talk to these girls who I guess are good friends. They chose our section to try and see him. Richard was very excited. I am still learning about soccer so I don't know all the hot shots yet. It was a fun time though.

First driving lesson

Well things have been about normal with the busy times of having our house on the market and getting a call for a showing in 10 minutes from the time of the phone call or having one cancel 2 hours after their scheduled time. Isn't it fun?!?!? Not so much. However, things are starting to move on the job front for Richard so hopefully something will happen sooner than later. Elizabeth got to have her 1st fourth of July and she was fast asleep in Grandma's care while Mom and Dad were out enjoying a soccer game and fireworks. Not much else going on here. Saturday Hikes and Naps

We have started a new tradition of going on hikes on Saturday mornings. She really seems to enjoy it at least for the first part until she get tired and starts to do the head bob, then she gets a little fussy. So for now we try to stick to the short hikes.

As you can see we have worn her out and she loves her new swing so much that she will even nap in it. What a fun and cute girl we have.

Family Reunion

Last weekend we went to a family reunion in Brush for the Eicher side of the family. (Richard's Grandfather's side). It was pretty neat for Elizabeth to get to meet a lot of family. Popper (Richard's grandfather) was excited to see her as always. We got a picture of 5 generations (Aunt Helen-1st, Popper-2nd, Grandma Parkes-3rd, Daddy-4th, and Elizabeth-5th). Pretty rare, so we got a pic to prove it.

First tooth and more family to meet

The last couple of weeks have been full of family and firsts. We went up to Ft. Collins to spend some time with both Grandma's and my cousin Beth was there with her 4 girls along with Christy's girls and Kirk and Ann. It was a fun time and the girls loved playing with Elizabeth. While we were there, Elizabeth got her first tooth. The only way we discovered it is that she bit her finger and started screaming. I put my finger in her mouth to check things out and there was a SHARP tooth in there. We think she is now working on another one. She has also been learning to clap and wave bye bye.

Fun in the San Diego Sun

Last week we made a trip to San Diego to go both for a vacation and to see Julie graduate from Point Loma. It was a great trip and we were able to do quite a bit. Elizabeth is such a great traveler, she just went with the flow and slept whenever she could. We were all definitely ready to be home and sleep in our own beds though. Anyway, enjoy the pictures.

Almost 7 months old and lots to tell...

Well, it has been a long time and boy has the little one grown. I know I have been a slacker Mom in keeping everyone up to date, so here is a little update for everyone. (I will try to be better from now on.)

Elizabeth will be 7 months old this Saturday and she is sitting up and rolling over, and likes to roll across the floor. She is laughing like crazy, usually for her Daddy, and talks all the time. Daddy dreads the day that she is old enough to talk on the phone... we shall see what happens there. We have made trips to Albuquerque to see Uncle Dale and Aunt Marie and to Missouri to see Aunt Tracy, Aunt Amy and Grandpa. She is quite the traveler and we will be making a trip to San Diego in about a week to see Aunt Julie graduate from college.

Thanksgiving and lots of family

Things have been going well, we have been introducing Elizabeth to a lot of her family over the past couple of weeks. Richard has been remodeling the kitchen...that's a whole other story...so I decided that I needed to not be here with Elizabeth when that was all going on. So, we set out to Grandma Garrison's house to meet Christy and her girls, and Aunt Anne (unfortunately we didn't get a picture with Anne)

For Thanksgiving Richard's brother and wife (Dale and Marie) came up from Albuquerque to visit. This was Elizabeth's first chance to meet them. It was a great time.

Update on Elizabeth

We have been trying to get this blog thing up and going, and it is truly amazing how little time I have had to do this. After a rough start with Elizabeth being jaundiced and Mommy trying to recover, we are now beginning to get things figured out, so I wanted to get things rolling so everyone can keep up to date on our precious girl.

For a small little one, Elizabeth sure takes up quite a bit of my time. Now that she is almost two months old, we are starting to get a little bit of a routine down. We have made more outings lately and she is sleeping through the night. Mom and Dad are adjusting to their new way of life and love to look at our little girl. She is really starting to smile a lot and is even talking some. Even though she doesn't get to see her Daddy during the day, she loves her Daddy time at night. This allows Mommy to take a shower and do all that other stuff that she used to take for granted. Here are some pictures of our little one. We will try to keep this updated, but I am not sure how often I will get it done.
